Narrative:
I just flew into lna and got the frway one arrival. It was not in the government charts; my GPS had it in the box. They are new procedures ATC told me. This is very interesting. The frway one arrival does not show up in the FAA database as approved for lna; however; it is approved for 06FA-west (gwinn); F45 (north palm beach); and pbi itself. Puzzled; I contacted pbi approach and mia center speaking with the department head for that airspace. There is no letter of agreement with lna over this arrival; therefore it should not be issued. However; and this is most interesting; the staff recalls that frway one arrival was supposed to cover lna and controllers could be using it because they 'thought it was there.' even so; it should only be issued for faster turboprops and jet equipment going into the aforementioned airports.
