Narrative:
We were assigned the teb 5 departure. On takeoff I climbed to 1500 ft MSL per the SID. My mistake was I climbed to the 2000 ft MSL requirement early. This confusion came from the blocks on the chart. I misread the block and climbed early. There was no conflict with any other aircraft.
