Narrative:
En route from to mco while passing over sps; I received an ACARS message from dispatch that there was compressed oxygen in the 'a' cargo hold per maintenance. I responded questioning if this was to be on a hazmat form. The answer was to the affirmative. I was not informed that there would be any hazardous cargo on board and I never received a form documenting this hazmat. I continued uneventfully to mco and upon arrival discussed this incident with the chief pilot who suggested this safety report and said that he would look into the problem of the undocumented hazmat with the company. Supplemental information from acn 681490: since we were notified during flight of the ground operations failure to provide the appropriate paperwork; there was nothing we could do to prevent this; other than submitting this safety report form so that hopefully it will not happen in the future.

Narrative: ENRTE FROM TO MCO WHILE PASSING OVER SPS; I RECEIVED AN ACARS MESSAGE FROM DISPATCH THAT THERE WAS COMPRESSED OXYGEN IN THE 'A' CARGO HOLD PER MAINT. I CONTINUED UNEVENTFULLY TO MCO AND UPON ARR DISCUSSED THIS INCIDENT WITH THE CHIEF PLT WHO SUGGESTED THIS SAFETY RPT AND SAID THAT HE WOULD LOOK INTO THE PROB OF THE UNDOCUMENTED HAZMAT WITH THE COMPANY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 681490: SINCE WE WERE NOTIFIED DURING FLT OF THE GND OPS FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK; THERE WAS NOTHING WE COULD DO TO PREVENT THIS; OTHER THAN SUBMITTING THIS SAFETY RPT FORM SO THAT HOPEFULLY IT WILL NOT HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE.
