Narrative:

The r-side sector 59 controller called with a pointout of aircraft X at XA37Z. I said 'pointout approved.' I climbed aircraft Y to FL360 from FL320 at XA40Z. At XA47Z sector 59 called to say that they were descending aircraft X to FL350 for aircraft Y. I turned aircraft Y 40 degrees to the right to make sure aircraft Y would stay separated from aircraft X. Afterwards; I turned aircraft Y on course. The conflict alert never activated and I did not know that separation was even less than 5 mi.
