Narrative:
Climbing out with the autoplt in indicated airspeed mode. Approaching FL330 we experienced some wave (mountain) that caused our airspeed to rise above the selected airspeed. This caused the autoplt to pitch up sharply. Our climb rate momentarily increased to +2000 FPM. Another airliner was above us level at FL350. The airliner above us got an RA and had to climb. We leveled off at FL341 and immediately returned to FL340. The first officer was the PF and didn't react to the sudden climb. I tried callouts first which wasted valuable time. I should have been more aggressive.
