Narrative:
After pushback; we returned to gate for an indicator light on spoilers. After that was checked and ok'ed; the captain called back to ask flight attendants to check the overwing exits. He said they showed a light in cockpit of a slide out. After checking; he said we were cleared to take off. About 45 mi out of dfw; I was picking up after second beverage service and heard a loud boom and the plane dipped slightly. I called the cockpit to ask what it was and the cockpit said they were unaware of anything. Told them I would call back and went back up the aisle and checked on the left side out the window. A passenger and myself noticed the overwing slide had deployed. The exits from the inside appeared to be normal. I returned to the aft galley and called the cockpit again and informed them of the slide and asked them if anything needed to be done; or if passenger needed to be reseated and was told no; everything would proceed as normal.
