Narrative:
All preflight WX indicated destination and alternate would be well above minimums at arrival approach was CAT 1 ILS runway 7L. Ignition override; engine and airframe anti-icing system all turned on passing 10000 ft MSL. Entered clouds at 5000 ft MSL. Upon entering clouds #1 and #3 engine vibration indicators began to display amber intermittently. Engine RPM was increased as we suspected fan blade icing. First approach was terminated due to aircraft on runway and directed by ATC. After vectors around the pattern at 2000 ft MSL; attempted another ILS runway 7L and successfully landed. Runway was snowy; but plowed. Captain wrote up possible ice ingestion upon landing. Notified by company all 3 engines sustained ice damage.

Title: MD11 FLT CREW ENCOUNTERS ICING CONDITIONS DURING APCH TO LNDG. ALL ANTI-ICING AND DEICING SYS ACTIVATED. ENG 'VIBRATION INDICATOR' SHOWED EXCESSIVE VIBRATION INDICATING POSSIBLE ICE INGESTION.
Narrative: ALL PREFLT WX INDICATED DEST AND ALTERNATE WOULD BE WELL ABOVE MINIMUMS AT ARR APCH WAS CAT 1 ILS RWY 7L. IGNITION OVERRIDE; ENG AND AIRFRAME ANTI-ICING SYS ALL TURNED ON PASSING 10000 FT MSL. ENTERED CLOUDS AT 5000 FT MSL.
