Narrative:
On localizer runway 22R ord autoplt on at 5000 ft; armed the GS mode. The aircraft went to climb power and started to climb for the GS which was 2000 ft above us. Disconnected autoplt and recovered at 5800 ft. The software should be corrected in the A320/A319.

Title: A319 FLT CREW ON APCH TO ORD ENGAGES AUTOPLT GS MODE; RESULTING IN THE AUTOPLT ATTEMPTING TO CLB TO THE GS ABOVE.
Narrative: ON LOC RWY 22R ORD AUTOPLT ON AT 5000 FT; ARMED THE GS MODE. THE ACFT WENT TO CLB PWR AND STARTED TO CLB FOR THE GS WHICH WAS 2000 FT ABOVE US. DISCONNECTED AUTOPLT AND RECOVERED AT 5800 FT. THE SOFTWARE SHOULD BE CORRECTED IN THE A320/A319.
