Narrative:
During taxi in to the gate in an MD90 at lax; the aircraft nose gear tire vibrated due to loss of traction on a wet gate ramp area. Aircraft moved at approximately 5 KTS and at no time did the aircraft stop moving which would have required 'break away' thrust. After shutting down the #1 engine (used during taxi in) and securing the aircraft the captain was advised by a ramp tower agent that jet exhaust had dislodged a baggage container on a transport cart. According to the control tower the baggage container was not properly secured. 2 ramp agents were temporarily pinned against a belt loader. No significant injuries. Recommendations: 1) all baggage containers be properly secured prior to entering ramp area. 2) ramp agents not positioned for work behind jet engines taxiing in to gate. 3) marshallers and wing walkers use maximum situational awareness when guiding aircraft.
