Narrative:

Flight was vectored to intercept localizer runway 14R at oma. Last instructions from oma approach; '3000 ft till intercept; cleared the approach.' we were established on the localizer; within 10 mi of zatar OM; and began a descent to 2400 ft MSL. Our confign was gear down and flaps 15 degrees. GS was showing 1 DOT for intercept. It was at this point we received an obstacle warning followed shortly with a pull-up. Terrain following was active and showed an obstacle to be within 10 mi and on localizer. We executed a go around and were subsequently vectored for the same approach. Altimeters were correctly set; no low altitude warning was activated in the oma approach facility. Further review of the runway 14R approach did not depict an obstruction that would cause an alert. Second approach we elected to intercept the GS from 3000 ft without the stepdown and followed the GS to an uneventful arrival. Gusty conditions were present with a 60 degree crosswind. The oma approach facility was contacted following arrival at the gate with nothing of note coming from the phone contact. Our immediate conclusion was this was possibly a database error.

WE WERE ESTABLISHED ON THE LOC; WITHIN 10 MI OF ZATAR OM; AND BEGAN A DSCNT TO 2400 FT MSL. OUR CONFIGN WAS GEAR DOWN AND FLAPS 15 DEGS. GS WAS SHOWING 1 DOT FOR INTERCEPT. WE EXECUTED A GAR AND WERE SUBSEQUENTLY VECTORED FOR THE SAME APCH. ALTIMETERS WERE CORRECTLY SET; NO LOW ALT WARNING WAS ACTIVATED IN THE OMA APCH FACILITY. FURTHER REVIEW OF THE RWY 14R APCH DID NOT DEPICT AN OBSTRUCTION THAT WOULD CAUSE AN ALERT. SECOND APCH WE ELECTED TO INTERCEPT THE GS FROM 3000 FT WITHOUT THE STEPDOWN AND FOLLOWED THE GS TO AN UNEVENTFUL ARR. GUSTY CONDITIONS WERE PRESENT WITH A 60 DEG XWIND.
