Narrative:

During climb crew noticed exhaust smell in cockpit. Contact airline maintenance control for assistance. Unsuccessful in isolating source of smell. We were planned for a 4 hour flight. Fearing the possible onset of subtle incapacitation we did an air turn-back to point of departure. Crew received medical attention for headache; nausea; dizziness and possible carbon monoxide poisoning. No problems found. Health returned to normal within 24 hours.
