Narrative:

While waiting for a guide man to direct me in to the gate; I noticed that a fuel truck approached my aircraft but stopped approximately 50 ft to the left. As the guide man started directing me in to the gate; I released the brakes and started a slow right turn into the parking area. Just then my first officer announced that the fuel truck started forward across my nose. I had to brake rather abruptly. The truck passed no more than 20 ft in front of the nose of the aircraft. I flashed my lights but he proceeded across to the other side of the aircraft. We reported the incident to ramp control. No injuries were incurred.
