While attempting to leak check the fuel temperature bulb; the #2 engine exhaust caught fire; I then shut down #2 engine and deployed fire bottles. As of today; my records indicate my qualifications are not current; nor was I ever given 'air carrier Y confign difference' course. Will complete requalification training. Will ask about 'air carrier Y confign difference.' training. Air carrier Y confign difference inadequate.
