Narrative:
I was dispatched from engine shop to maintenance hangar to perform an intake forward case ice impact repairs. When I arrived; a partial removal of fan blades had been initiated. I completed the fan blade removal; I performed my repairs and proceeded to reinstall all fan blades back in their original position. This procedure was performed and witnessed by my working partner. However; I signed for the repairs feeling that I was the amt in charge of the event. Informed my supervisor; however; other than rechking or quality assurance witnessing the torque; no other action should be required. When I informed my supervisor of this occurrence he told me that ZZZ1 mechanics were supposed to remove the fan blades and reinstall them. I am qualified to remove and install them here in the shop and no quality assurance is required. I feel that the shop practice of installing fan blades without rii requirement might have contributed to my mistake.
