Narrative:
My copilot and I completed out cockpit briefing; before start; and before push checklist per SOP. At approximately XA20 I spoke to push crew on interphone and they informed me they were ready for push. I told them to stand by and asked my copilot to call for push. Copilot informed me ramp had cleared us to push and I told ground crew we were cleared to push with the brakes set. Ground crew responded with 'cleared to push release brakes.' I released brakes and I would say we moved approximately 3 or 4 ft at the most and it felt like tow bar had released or tug had jumped out of gear or something. We moved forward a few ft and I asked what had happened. Ground crew informed me we had hit a truck at rear of plane and reset brakes. I did. I asked if anyone was hurt and ground crew advised that no one was hurt. My copilot informed ramp we had stopped push and had struck something. Copilot also called maintenance and they responded to our call. After again confirming brakes were set and cockpit secure for now I informed passenger what had occurred and I would get back soon with more information. I called ramp myself and confirmed once again that no one was hurt. After approximately 4-5 mins I personally went outside and viewed the damage. I found the truck in line with the aircraft fuselage but facing the opposite direction. Aircraft had struck the rear of truck and damage was evident on the aft underside of fuselage. I proceeded back cockpit and once again informed passenger of damage and no one had been injured. I also stated to the passenger that we would most likely have a new aircraft for our flight shortly.

Title: B737-300 STRIKES A TRUCK PARKED BEHIND IT ON PUSHBACK.
Narrative: MY COPLT AND I COMPLETED OUT COCKPIT BRIEFING; BEFORE START; AND BEFORE PUSH CHKLIST PER SOP. AT APPROX XA20 I SPOKE TO PUSH CREW ON INTERPHONE AND THEY INFORMED ME THEY WERE READY FOR PUSH. I TOLD THEM TO STAND BY AND ASKED MY COPLT TO CALL FOR PUSH. COPLT INFORMED ME RAMP HAD CLRED US TO PUSH AND I TOLD GND CREW WE WERE CLRED TO PUSH WITH THE BRAKES SET. GND CREW RESPONDED WITH 'CLRED TO PUSH RELEASE BRAKES.' I RELEASED BRAKES AND I WOULD SAY WE MOVED APPROX 3 OR 4 FT AT THE MOST AND IT FELT LIKE TOW BAR HAD RELEASED OR TUG HAD JUMPED OUT OF GEAR OR SOMETHING. WE MOVED FORWARD A FEW FT AND I ASKED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. GND CREW INFORMED ME WE HAD HIT A TRUCK AT REAR OF PLANE AND RESET BRAKES. I DID. I ASKED IF ANYONE WAS HURT AND GND CREW ADVISED THAT NO ONE WAS HURT. MY COPLT INFORMED RAMP WE HAD STOPPED PUSH AND HAD STRUCK SOMETHING. COPLT ALSO CALLED MAINT AND THEY RESPONDED TO OUR CALL. AFTER AGAIN CONFIRMING BRAKES WERE SET AND COCKPIT SECURE FOR NOW I INFORMED PAX WHAT HAD OCCURRED AND I WOULD GET BACK SOON WITH MORE INFO. I CALLED RAMP MYSELF AND CONFIRMED ONCE AGAIN THAT NO ONE WAS HURT. AFTER APPROX 4-5 MINS I PERSONALLY WENT OUTSIDE AND VIEWED THE DAMAGE. I FOUND THE TRUCK IN LINE WITH THE ACFT FUSELAGE BUT FACING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. ACFT HAD STRUCK THE REAR OF TRUCK AND DAMAGE WAS EVIDENT ON THE AFT UNDERSIDE OF FUSELAGE. I PROCEEDED BACK COCKPIT AND ONCE AGAIN INFORMED PAX OF DAMAGE AND NO ONE HAD BEEN INJURED. I ALSO STATED TO THE PAX THAT WE WOULD MOST LIKELY HAVE A NEW ACFT FOR OUR FLT SHORTLY.
