Narrative:
Just prior to shero intersection on the triss 2 RNAV departure; my first officer and I noticed that 'shero' intersection had dropped from my departure page. The box had somehow (and I'm not sure how) dropped shero and was going direct to txk from triss. While correcting back to shero to proceed outbound on course; departure control noticed our deviation and inquired if we had been cleared direct to txk. We said no; and we requested direct to txk which the controller approved. I was very humiliated that I did not catch this sooner. It won't happen again; that's for sure.
