Narrative:

After seeing the photos on the B767 engine explosion at ZZZ; I looked at the card we have in the MD80 for mechanic taxi procedures. 1) the MD80 has only 1 abnormal for 'collision.' 2) there is no APU fire procedure. 3) there is no engine fire procedure. 4) there is no required radio set up tower/ground/121.5 (when on a run-up area or uncontrolled ramp). 5) there is no door arming procedure for possible evacuate/evacuation by use of slides. 6) there is no evacuate/evacuation procedure. Are mechanics required to have a 10-9 page out for taxi as pilots are required to have? Are mechanics required to be 'sterile' during taxi as pilots are? What specific training do mechanics have in any of the above areas?
