Narrative:

Departed runway 24 at teb on the teb 5 departure. Climbing to 2000 ft with restr to maintain 1500 ft until 4.5 DME teb VOR. Prior to the 4.5 DME I leveled at 1800 ft. Controller noticed the overshoot and gave us a continue climb. No interference with other traffic for ewr. I've done this departure many times but this time we used maximum thrust setting for takeoff due to wet runway. I was distraction with the HUD starting to strobe and allowed my attention to be diverted from flying the airplane. To avoid this situation I need to make sure I always fly the airplane first.
