Narrative:
No notification of hazmat on board; 17 mins after takeoff; received ACARS message from load planning 'just informed by operations that you have 3 different types of hazmat on board -- 1) rry -- radio active; 2) rmd -- combat; 3) rng -- non/flammable gas.' my response; that that information is insufficient. Next ACARS message from load planning; 'that's what the sector lead informed me over the phone...that they still had your hazmat forms in their hand.' my response; I need that person's name. Next ACARS message from load planning; 'copy on your message. Contacted operations manager. We will get you additional information as soon as possible.' next ACARS message was from dispatcher with information on all 3 items including imp code; quantity; index number; destination and class number.
