Narrative:
We were on the loupe departure out of sjc. Turning back to the sjc VOR at 10500 ft when what we believe to be a king air came within 200-300 ft of us; coming directly across our flight path on an approximately 140 degree course. TCAS did not show any aircraft. No evasive action was taken.
