Narrative:
Once we departed the forward annunciator overheat light began flickering on and off with the corresponding #2 engine overheat light flickering on and off. The first officer idented the engine and called all engine instrument parameters normal. We requested from tower a return to the field and on leveloff; with bringing power back; the flickering stopped. We ran QRH; checklists and returned for normal landing.
