Narrative:
Given clearance to FL360 from FL340 with restr to be there in 1 1/2 mins. We began climb; after about 1 min; it looked as if it would be close to make time constraint. At that; ATC asked what our altitude was. I said that the climb took longer than expected. ATC turned us 20 degrees left and the cargo plane 30 degrees left. Very soon after; I reported level at FL360. ATC cleared us both on course.
