Narrative:
I was flying a piper aztec PA23-250 VFR. I was instructed by tower to report a 2 mi right base for runway 5. Whilst on the base leg; I lowered the landing gear and completed the landing check; confirming 3 green. On final as part of the final check; I again confirmed 3 green. The landing was smooth and uneventful. During the final phase of the landing rollout; about 2/3 of the way down the runway; at about 30 KTS; I felt a pull to the right which initially seemed like a flat tire but which I quickly realized was a landing gear problem. The wing continued to drop and the propeller and wingtip collided with the asphalt dragging approximately 100 ft. The aircraft came to rest just to the right of the centerline with the longitudinal axis aligned with the runway. Damage to the aircraft consisted of a bent propeller and minor damage to the wingtip.
