Narrative:
During taxi out at teb; an initial taxi clearance was given to taxi to runway 24 via txwys K; left; and Q with a hold short at J. The hold short was due; I suspect; to accommodate an arriving aircraft landing runway 19 -- a falcon 50. Once this aircraft cleared; we were again cleared to taxi to runway 24. However; a VFR departure requested; and was given; from runway 1. At the same time another aircraft was taxiing to runway 24 from the area around another FBO. This created an environment where about every runway at the airport was in use. As we taxied along taxiway left; we were told to hold short of taxiway Q. After a short stop on taxiway left; the controller stated; 'taxi to runway 24.' we taxied straight ahead on taxiway left with plans to cross runway 19 at the end and join taxiway a to hold short of runway 24. As we crossed runway 24 were told that we had just crossed an active runway and should have taken taxiway Q to runway 24. There was not a conflict with any other aircraft. I feel that a couple of problems were at hand. First; too many runways were active for anyone to keep a full sense of what was going on. And; second; I felt that we were issued a new clearance; after the hold short at taxiway Q; which allowed us to cross all runways en route to the end of runway 24 -- along the taxiway in front of us -- which was taxiway left. I do feel that everyone; most especially the controller; was aware situationally of where everyone was on the field. However; I do feel that too many different direction operations were in effect. I will never cross any runway again without verifying the clearance to do so.

Title: A C650 TAXIING FOR TKOF AT TEB CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY BECAUSE OF A CLRNC MISUNDERSTANDING.
Narrative: DURING TAXI OUT AT TEB; AN INITIAL TAXI CLRNC WAS GIVEN TO TAXI TO RWY 24 VIA TXWYS K; L; AND Q WITH A HOLD SHORT AT J. THE HOLD SHORT WAS DUE; I SUSPECT; TO ACCOMMODATE AN ARRIVING ACFT LNDG RWY 19 -- A FALCON 50. ONCE THIS ACFT CLRED; WE WERE AGAIN CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 24. HOWEVER; A VFR DEP REQUESTED; AND WAS GIVEN; FROM RWY 1. AT THE SAME TIME ANOTHER ACFT WAS TAXIING TO RWY 24 FROM THE AREA AROUND ANOTHER FBO. THIS CREATED AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE ABOUT EVERY RWY AT THE ARPT WAS IN USE. AS WE TAXIED ALONG TXWY L; WE WERE TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY Q. AFTER A SHORT STOP ON TXWY L; THE CTLR STATED; 'TAXI TO RWY 24.' WE TAXIED STRAIGHT AHEAD ON TXWY L WITH PLANS TO CROSS RWY 19 AT THE END AND JOIN TXWY A TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 24. AS WE CROSSED RWY 24 WERE TOLD THAT WE HAD JUST CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY AND SHOULD HAVE TAKEN TXWY Q TO RWY 24. THERE WAS NOT A CONFLICT WITH ANY OTHER ACFT. I FEEL THAT A COUPLE OF PROBS WERE AT HAND. FIRST; TOO MANY RWYS WERE ACTIVE FOR ANYONE TO KEEP A FULL SENSE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON. AND; SECOND; I FELT THAT WE WERE ISSUED A NEW CLRNC; AFTER THE HOLD SHORT AT TXWY Q; WHICH ALLOWED US TO CROSS ALL RWYS ENRTE TO THE END OF RWY 24 -- ALONG THE TXWY IN FRONT OF US -- WHICH WAS TXWY L. I DO FEEL THAT EVERYONE; MOST ESPECIALLY THE CTLR; WAS AWARE SITUATIONALLY OF WHERE EVERYONE WAS ON THE FIELD. HOWEVER; I DO FEEL THAT TOO MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTION OPS WERE IN EFFECT. I WILL NEVER CROSS ANY RWY AGAIN WITHOUT VERIFYING THE CLRNC TO DO SO.
