Narrative:

Departed gate and taxied for runway 20R. During taxi; ground control reported a windshear alert 1 mi south of runway; loss of 20 KTS. Needless to say; this got our attention. After leaving the ramp; I called for taxi checklist. After a few mins; the tower reported no further windshear alerts. After second engine start; and required warm-up time; we began the takeoff roll. We immediately received the master warning as well as the aural alert for 'flaps.' I aborted the takeoff; and the first officer notified the tower. The takeoff was aborted at approximately 30 KTS. After discussing the situation; we performed the taxi checklist again and departed without further incident. It goes without saying that proper checklist discipline would have prevented this event from occurring. In the future; I will not hesitate to restart a checklist when interruptions occur.
