Narrative:
We unknowingly took off with an improper departure clearance. Prior to a late departure; no pre departure clearance was available. I called clearance delivery and was given 'cleared via knik 6; as filed; climb and maintain 4000 ft departure frequency....' we loaded FMC and confirmed route per our flight plan release #2. Pre departure clearance automatically printed out on ACARS during a very busy short taxi for takeoff. I quickly glanced at the information which showed revised segment -- none; as well as confirming no changes to transponder and remarks section. During climb out we were cleared to a point not on our flight plan and inquired ATC to the matter. They showed a different routing than the one on our current flight plan release #2. They eventually cleared us on the routing we had programmed into the FMC (release #2). En route we questioned dispatch to resolve the matter. They concluded that the earlier dispatcher did not cancel the first flight plan with ATC before issuing release #2 with the updated route as required with international flight plans.

Title: A B757-200 DEPARTED WITH A MISMATCH BTWN THEIR CLRED RTE AND THEIR PDC.
Narrative: WE UNKNOWINGLY TOOK OFF WITH AN IMPROPER DEP CLRNC. PRIOR TO A LATE DEP; NO PDC WAS AVAILABLE. I CALLED CLRNC DELIVERY AND WAS GIVEN 'CLRED VIA KNIK 6; AS FILED; CLB AND MAINTAIN 4000 FT DEP FREQ....' WE LOADED FMC AND CONFIRMED RTE PER OUR FLT PLAN RELEASE #2. PDC AUTOMATICALLY PRINTED OUT ON ACARS DURING A VERY BUSY SHORT TAXI FOR TKOF. I QUICKLY GLANCED AT THE INFO WHICH SHOWED REVISED SEGMENT -- NONE; AS WELL AS CONFIRMING NO CHANGES TO XPONDER AND REMARKS SECTION. DURING CLBOUT WE WERE CLRED TO A POINT NOT ON OUR FLT PLAN AND INQUIRED ATC TO THE MATTER. THEY SHOWED A DIFFERENT ROUTING THAN THE ONE ON OUR CURRENT FLT PLAN RELEASE #2. THEY EVENTUALLY CLRED US ON THE ROUTING WE HAD PROGRAMMED INTO THE FMC (RELEASE #2). ENRTE WE QUESTIONED DISPATCH TO RESOLVE THE MATTER. THEY CONCLUDED THAT THE EARLIER DISPATCHER DID NOT CANCEL THE FIRST FLT PLAN WITH ATC BEFORE ISSUING RELEASE #2 WITH THE UPDATED RTE AS REQUIRED WITH INTL FLT PLANS.
