Narrative:

This report is to address a safety issue that is very common amongst the super ATR72. Last saturday; flight departed at XX40. The gpu that was connected to the aircraft was not working very well resulting in a really hot cabin. Temperature in the cabin was so hot that you could not feel the air conditioning working at all; to the point that you literally felt as if you were about to melt; passenger were complaining about the cabin being so hot and the fact that throughout the flight the cabin did not cool down at all. Same thing happened on another flight. I strongly believe that working on such conditions is not safe either for us flight attendant as well as our passenger.
