Narrative:

In cruise at FL370 with FMC showing optimum approximately FL370; maximum approximately FL385. IMC in high cloud layer. WX radar showing some returns to sides of course and tops of returns below our altitude. Ride went from smooth to continuous light turbulence and then airspeed decreased. Selected maximum continuous thrust but unable to hold airspeed. Pitch limit indicator appeared in eadi. Obtained descent first to FL360 and then to FL350 from ZMP. Stick shaker activated momentarily during descent. Leveled off at FL350 and turbulence soon abated.
