Narrative:
MEL applied to this flight and after reading the procedure several times; I failed to execute the procedure properly on takeoff. I failed to operate the left and right isolation valve switches properly. I believe this procedure needs to be rewritten for proper understanding. With the inoperative valve switch in 'automatic;' the closed light is on; leading to the belief that the procedure has been executed.
