Narrative:

As I sat down in my seat; I noticed that the red alternate flaps; standby power disconnect switches and the pass oxygen switch were all safety wired with non-breakable silver colored (.02?) safety wire. I called maintenance and they came out and replaced all the wire with the normal copper colored wire. Both the mechanic and myself attempted to break a switch free with the silver wire installed and we were unable to find out who installed the wire and see if they did it to any other aircraft.
