Narrative:
We were told to expect the civet arrival to lax and we anticipated landing on runway 24R. Shortly before beginning the arrival; we were given the seavu arrival and we still anticipated landing on runway 24R. While descending on the seavu arrival; we were told to expect runway 25R. When I loaded runway 25R into the FMS; it dropped the arrival which I reloaded. While I was setting up for the approach; I noticed we were descending through 12000 ft prior to dixnn which had a crossing restr of 12000 ft. We continued to descend to 11000 ft and shortly after that were given a heading and altitude of 7000 ft from ATC with no mention of our present altitude. I am not sure if the seavu arrival was compatible with the approach to runway 25R or what altitude ATC expected us to be at when they gave us a heading and altitude. The frequency was highly congested and a previous call to us could have been missed. We also had a very short time to review the arrival and approach.

Title: CITATION CE750 FLT CREW HAS AN ALTDEV DURING THE SEAVU 1 ARR TO LAX.
Narrative: WE WERE TOLD TO EXPECT THE CIVET ARR TO LAX AND WE ANTICIPATED LNDG ON RWY 24R. SHORTLY BEFORE BEGINNING THE ARR; WE WERE GIVEN THE SEAVU ARR AND WE STILL ANTICIPATED LNDG ON RWY 24R. WHILE DSNDING ON THE SEAVU ARR; WE WERE TOLD TO EXPECT RWY 25R. WHEN I LOADED RWY 25R INTO THE FMS; IT DROPPED THE ARR WHICH I RELOADED. WHILE I WAS SETTING UP FOR THE APCH; I NOTICED WE WERE DSNDING THROUGH 12000 FT PRIOR TO DIXNN WHICH HAD A XING RESTR OF 12000 FT. WE CONTINUED TO DSND TO 11000 FT AND SHORTLY AFTER THAT WERE GIVEN A HDG AND ALT OF 7000 FT FROM ATC WITH NO MENTION OF OUR PRESENT ALT. I AM NOT SURE IF THE SEAVU ARR WAS COMPATIBLE WITH THE APCH TO RWY 25R OR WHAT ALT ATC EXPECTED US TO BE AT WHEN THEY GAVE US A HDG AND ALT. THE FREQ WAS HIGHLY CONGESTED AND A PREVIOUS CALL TO US COULD HAVE BEEN MISSED. WE ALSO HAD A VERY SHORT TIME TO REVIEW THE ARR AND APCH.
