Narrative:
Commencing 90 degree left turn to lead-in line; confirmed with first officer safety zone was clear; director and gate service team in sight. As I shut down #2 for gate services; I inadvertently shut down #1 at the same time. After recovering from shock; glanced at zero hydraulic pressure and brought aircraft to smooth stop with approximately 1 aircraft length and 30-40 degrees of turn remaining. First officer and I agreed we would start APU; then #1 engine and taxi short distance to gate. Alert ground crew was already at window coordinating tow to gate. They had tow bar hooked up before we even had APU on line. Director gave me brake release while I was putting APU on bus to restore electrical power. I forgot to secure hydraulic pumps and tow bar pin broke as tractor attempted to move aircraft. Cleared ground crew from aircraft; started #1 and taxied to spot. Requested maintenance to take a look at nose gear and they discovered tow link on nose gear was also broken.

Narrative: COMMENCING 90 DEG L TURN TO LEAD-IN LINE; CONFIRMED WITH FO SAFETY ZONE WAS CLR; DIRECTOR AND GATE SVC TEAM IN SIGHT. AS I SHUT DOWN #2 FOR GATE SVCS; I INADVERTENTLY SHUT DOWN #1 AT THE SAME TIME. AFTER RECOVERING FROM SHOCK; GLANCED AT ZERO HYD PRESSURE AND BROUGHT ACFT TO SMOOTH STOP WITH APPROX 1 ACFT LENGTH AND 30-40 DEGS OF TURN REMAINING. FO AND I AGREED WE WOULD START APU; THEN #1 ENG AND TAXI SHORT DISTANCE TO GATE. ALERT GND CREW WAS ALREADY AT WINDOW COORDINATING TOW TO GATE. THEY HAD TOW BAR HOOKED UP BEFORE WE EVEN HAD APU ON LINE. DIRECTOR GAVE ME BRAKE RELEASE WHILE I WAS PUTTING APU ON BUS TO RESTORE ELECTRICAL PWR. I FORGOT TO SECURE HYD PUMPS AND TOW BAR PIN BROKE AS TRACTOR ATTEMPTED TO MOVE ACFT. CLRED GND CREW FROM ACFT; STARTED #1 AND TAXIED TO SPOT. REQUESTED MAINT TO TAKE A LOOK AT NOSE GEAR AND THEY DISCOVERED TOW LINK ON NOSE GEAR WAS ALSO BROKEN.
