Narrative:
Called out to gate xx. Agent noticed a dent on forward edge (lower) on forward entry door at departure time. Found a dent on arrival to aircraft. Inspected and found no other damage other than dent. Made a quick decision that safety and integrity of door and seal was safe. Talked to flight crew through ramp personnel that damage would not affect pressurization of aircraft. Agent relayed to me that door closed normally with no binding or other defects. Cockpit crew informed me that door light was extinguished. Received a call from ord chief at approximately XA00 hour on sep/xx/06; stating that xxb took a maintenance delay awaiting engineer's approval for a 2 flight leg deviation until permanent repair was required. A mental note to self reminding myself that no matter how much pressure and authorities before we make that decision.
