Narrative:
Aircraft returned to gate for binding ailerons. Upon inspection of aileron/spoiler control circuit a tool was found to be lying in close proximity to the aileron/spoiler cable tension regulator. Lost tool was removed; inspection of aileron/spoiler cable tension regulator was performed with no defects found and surrounding area was inspected for damage with no damage found.

Title: A DH8-200 RETURNED TO THE GATE DUE TO BINDING AILERONS. CAUSED BY HAND TOOL INTERFERING WITH AILERON-SPOILER CABLE TENSION REGULATOR.
Narrative: ACFT RETURNED TO GATE FOR BINDING AILERONS. UPON INSPECTION OF AILERON/SPOILER CTL CIRCUIT A TOOL WAS FOUND TO BE LYING IN CLOSE PROX TO THE AILERON/SPOILER CABLE TENSION REGULATOR. LOST TOOL WAS REMOVED; INSPECTION OF AILERON/SPOILER CABLE TENSION REGULATOR WAS PERFORMED WITH NO DEFECTS FOUND AND SURROUNDING AREA WAS INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE WITH NO DAMAGE FOUND.
