Narrative:
As we taxied into position and hold on runway 18L; our departure route was not displayed on the mfd. We quickly reloaded the NELYN2.sat transition. Apparently; runway 17R (#2 in the FMS list) instead of runway 18L (#3 on the FMS list); was input into the FMS. On departure; we noticed something was not quite right. We flew runway heading and drifted east of course; due to the southwest winds. ATC inquired about our course as we were figuring out the problem. We requested and received clearance direct nelyn intersection. Upon landing; we contacted dfw ATC and discussed the possible deviation. We were assured by the dfw ATC supervisor that at no time was there a loss of separation with any other aircraft.

Title: AN EMB145 FLT CREW MADE AN ENTRY ERROR IN THE FMC; LOADING THE WRONG DEP RWY; AND AFTER TKOF DEVIATED FROM THE ASSIGNED SID TRACK.
Narrative: AS WE TAXIED INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 18L; OUR DEP RTE WAS NOT DISPLAYED ON THE MFD. WE QUICKLY RELOADED THE NELYN2.SAT TRANSITION. APPARENTLY; RWY 17R (#2 IN THE FMS LIST) INSTEAD OF RWY 18L (#3 ON THE FMS LIST); WAS INPUT INTO THE FMS. ON DEP; WE NOTICED SOMETHING WAS NOT QUITE RIGHT. WE FLEW RWY HDG AND DRIFTED E OF COURSE; DUE TO THE SW WINDS. ATC INQUIRED ABOUT OUR COURSE AS WE WERE FIGURING OUT THE PROB. WE REQUESTED AND RECEIVED CLRNC DIRECT NELYN INTXN. UPON LNDG; WE CONTACTED DFW ATC AND DISCUSSED THE POSSIBLE DEV. WE WERE ASSURED BY THE DFW ATC SUPVR THAT AT NO TIME WAS THERE A LOSS OF SEPARATION WITH ANY OTHER ACFT.
