Narrative:
Prior to departure; I briefed the PF on the departure procedures for runway 24 at teb. We both agreed on what the procedure was. During and after takeoff; I continued to give the PF standard callouts. However; instead of leveling at the required 1500 ft until 4.5 DME; he continued to climb to the next altitude; which was 2000 ft. Upon landing; we debriefed and reviewed the proper departure procedures and discussed the importance of maintaining situational awareness to prevent future occurrences.
