1 hour into flight; purser called to say a passenger was having a seizure. We asked for a doctor and 2 responded. I had dispatch call me and I briefed him on the situation. He recommended ZZZ if I had to divert. A few mins later; after the passenger didn't respond to treatment; the doctors recommended that we land as soon as possible. Sent a text message deviate to ZZZ. Declared an emergency with ATC and got a clearance to ZZZ. Dispatch and ATC had medical waiting for us at the gate. We landed; had the passenger and his companion deplaned by the medics.
