Narrative:

On oct/sat/06; I was assigned to aircraft X with XXX employee XXX. During the progression of the workload XXX changed the low pressure fuel filters on both engines on an ETOPS aircraft and I signed off on one of the log pages. This was brought to my attention by XXX management this date oct/thu/06. Also; it was noted that the log pages were entered into computer system incorrectly. I was not involved in entering the paperwork because I was not originally assigned to this aircraft at the beginning of the shift and was helping out. After the work was accomplished I gave the paperwork to my lead mechanic. We had a very heavy workload on this aircraft and I believe this is the reason for the mistake. It was only myself and one other person assigned.

Title: A B757-200 TECHNICIANS HAD L AND R ENG FUEL FILTERS REPLACEMENT ASSIGNED. BOTH ENG FILTERS WERE REPLACED BY ANOTHER ASSIGNED TECHNICIAN. RPTR SIGNED FOR ONE ENG FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT.

Narrative: ON OCT/SAT/06; I WAS ASSIGNED TO ACFT X WITH XXX EMPLOYEE XXX. DURING THE PROGRESSION OF THE WORKLOAD XXX CHANGED THE LOW PRESSURE FUEL FILTERS ON BOTH ENGS ON AN ETOPS ACFT AND I SIGNED OFF ON ONE OF THE LOG PAGES. THIS WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTN BY XXX MGMNT THIS DATE OCT/THU/06. ALSO; IT WAS NOTED THAT THE LOG PAGES WERE ENTERED INTO COMPUTER SYS INCORRECTLY. I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ENTERING THE PAPERWORK BECAUSE I WAS NOT ORIGINALLY ASSIGNED TO THIS ACFT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SHIFT AND WAS HELPING OUT. AFTER THE WORK WAS ACCOMPLISHED I GAVE THE PAPERWORK TO MY LEAD MECH. WE HAD A VERY HVY WORKLOAD ON THIS ACFT AND I BELIEVE THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE MISTAKE. IT WAS ONLY MYSELF AND ONE OTHER PERSON ASSIGNED.
