Narrative:
After brake release; flight attendant informed me that there was a strong fuel smell in the cabin. The first officer investigated and confirmed that it was. Aircraft was taken OTS and flight attendant employee was taken off trip because she was ill from the smell.

Title: AN MD80 DEPARTING THE GATE AT DFW HAD FUEL FUMES IN THE CABIN STRONG ENOUGH THE ACFT WAS TAKEN OTS AND A FLT ATTENDANT BECAME ILL.
Narrative: AFTER BRAKE RELEASE; FLT ATTENDANT INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS A STRONG FUEL SMELL IN THE CABIN. THE FO INVESTIGATED AND CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS. ACFT WAS TAKEN OTS AND FLT ATTENDANT EMPLOYEE WAS TAKEN OFF TRIP BECAUSE SHE WAS ILL FROM THE SMELL.
