Narrative:
When I checked my maintenance training record nov/tue/06; I was surprised to see that I was qualified for the start/run-up/taxi on the B757 fleet. As reflected in the status column as 'active.' noting the effective dates as sep/xa/06 to sep/xa/08 expiration. The problem with this qualification is the lack of a proficiency chkout. Considering the check ride was supposed to take place late in oct/xa/06 with a training instructor as described in gpm section 04-08; but was unfortunately canceled for reasons unknown to me. I believe that this would be considered an initial proficiency chkout.
