Narrative:
On departure from teb the first level off is 1500 ft. While climbing to 1500 ft the PNF advised of 500 ft to level off. The PF acknowledged and started leading the level off. Approaching 1500 ft PF asked for heading 280 degrees per the SID. The PNF set 280 degrees and the PF started the turn. There was moderate turbulence on departure. At 1500 ft in the turn the PF noted that the trend monitor was still climbing. PF immediately started a correction and stated such to the PNF. The climb was arrested at 1700 ft MSL and immediately corrected to 1500 ft at the same time departure gave the crew a new heading and a climb to 4000 ft. There was no conflicting traffic noted and no TA/RA alerts. The altitude never deviated out of the 300 ft limit. Ny departure never stated anything about the altitude and continued issuing climb clrncs.

Title: GLF4 FLT CREW EXPERIENCES MOMENTARY ALT DEV ON TEB SID FROM TEB.
Narrative: ON DEP FROM TEB THE FIRST LEVEL OFF IS 1500 FT. WHILE CLBING TO 1500 FT THE PNF ADVISED OF 500 FT TO LEVEL OFF. THE PF ACKNOWLEDGED AND STARTED LEADING THE LEVEL OFF. APCHING 1500 FT PF ASKED FOR HEADING 280 DEGS PER THE SID. THE PNF SET 280 DEGS AND THE PF STARTED THE TURN. THERE WAS MODERATE TURB ON DEP. AT 1500 FT IN THE TURN THE PF NOTED THAT THE TREND MONITOR WAS STILL CLBING. PF IMMEDIATELY STARTED A CORRECTION AND STATED SUCH TO THE PNF. THE CLB WAS ARRESTED AT 1700 FT MSL AND IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED TO 1500 FT AT THE SAME TIME DEP GAVE THE CREW A NEW HEADING AND A CLB TO 4000 FT. THERE WAS NO CONFLICTING TFC NOTED AND NO TA/RA ALERTS. THE ALT NEVER DEVIATED OUT OF THE 300 FT LIMIT. NY DEP NEVER STATED ANYTHING ABOUT THE ALT AND CONTINUED ISSUING CLB CLRNCS.
