Narrative:

Musel 6; climbing to 13000 ft on 080 degree vector to trm; told to stop climb at 6000 ft due to VFR traffic 6500 ft. Complied. Idented target on TCAS estimated at 2 mi. Target went yellow with down arrow followed immediately by TCAS RA. Disconnected autoplt and initiated descent remaining outside red threat zone on vsi. Threat target appeared to maintain a descent toward us as we descended. TCAS clear of traffic came at 5600 ft. Notified socal of RA.

Narrative: MUSEL 6; CLBING TO 13000 FT ON 080 DEG VECTOR TO TRM; TOLD TO STOP CLB AT 6000 FT DUE TO VFR TFC 6500 FT. COMPLIED. IDENTED TARGET ON TCAS ESTIMATED AT 2 MI. TARGET WENT YELLOW WITH DOWN ARROW FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY TCAS RA. DISCONNECTED AUTOPLT AND INITIATED DSCNT REMAINING OUTSIDE RED THREAT ZONE ON VSI. THREAT TARGET APPEARED TO MAINTAIN A DSCNT TOWARD US AS WE DSNDED. TCAS CLR OF TFC CAME AT 5600 FT. NOTIFIED SOCAL OF RA.
