Narrative:

Normal pushback and taxi. Upon rotation (captain flying) felt moderate airframe vibration. At power reduction; vibration dramatically decreased. It was determined the #2 engine was the source of the vibration and the engine severe damage qrc was accomplished and cabin preparation issued to the flight attendants. The engine was left at idle and a 15 degree flap approach was flown. Uneventful landing and the engine was shut down after the aircraft was stopped.
