Narrative:
I was informed that several stabilizer jackscrews that I inspected were possibly missing the bolts and washers that thread into the failsafe lugs on the bottom of the stabilizer jackscrew. I believe one of the contributing factors why I may have missed these bolts not being installed is that we were used to changing B-300 jackscrews and they do not have these bolts or washers and the B-700 jackscrews that were coming in to be changed did not have the bolts installed either. So the fact that they were not there didn't cause any alarm. Also the new jackscrews do not come from the vendor with these bolts installed.
