Narrative:

En route to airport VFR when fog came in. I picked up the IFR clearance for approach 2 NM outside FAF. Above MDA I saw approach lights on ILS and continued below MDA. I saw green threshold lights and continued to landing. During landing phase approximately 25-50 ft above airport fog became very thick. I maintained visual with runway at all times during landing; but tower reported RVR as 1400 ft and visibility for approach is 1 NM. I continued to touch down since I had runway in sight; but time of landing visibility was below prescribed minimums for us. Aircraft (jet) just prior to me on approach also landed. I thought landing since I had runway in sight was more safe than going missed so close to runway and going visually to IMC in rapidly decreasing WX conditions. (Normal landing and touchdown with taxi was made.)

Title: C208 PLT LANDS BELOW RVR MINIMUMS.

Narrative: ENRTE TO ARPT VFR WHEN FOG CAME IN. I PICKED UP THE IFR CLRNC FOR APCH 2 NM OUTSIDE FAF. ABOVE MDA I SAW APCH LIGHTS ON ILS AND CONTINUED BELOW MDA. I SAW GREEN THRESHOLD LIGHTS AND CONTINUED TO LNDG. DURING LNDG PHASE APPROX 25-50 FT ABOVE ARPT FOG BECAME VERY THICK. I MAINTAINED VISUAL WITH RWY AT ALL TIMES DURING LNDG; BUT TWR RPTED RVR AS 1400 FT AND VISIBILITY FOR APCH IS 1 NM. I CONTINUED TO TOUCH DOWN SINCE I HAD RWY IN SIGHT; BUT TIME OF LNDG VISIBILITY WAS BELOW PRESCRIBED MINIMUMS FOR US. ACFT (JET) JUST PRIOR TO ME ON APCH ALSO LANDED. I THOUGHT LNDG SINCE I HAD RWY IN SIGHT WAS MORE SAFE THAN GOING MISSED SO CLOSE TO RWY AND GOING VISUALLY TO IMC IN RAPIDLY DECREASING WX CONDITIONS. (NORMAL LNDG AND TOUCHDOWN WITH TAXI WAS MADE.)
