Narrative:
The company has installed 3 duty free carts on these 2 hour flts since sept this year. This is to 'increase' air carrier's earning potential to 5 million for the year as per a recent circular from local management. Selling duty free on these relatively short flts is taking flight attendants away from diligently performing their duties with regards to security; safety; as well as service procedures. On this particular flight; (as others) flight attendants have been observed to start inventory of the duty free carts as soon as they get on the airplane and as well as during passenger boarding; violating security and safety procedures. Because these flts are staffed with 9 flight attendants; duty free sellers drop off to start their sales even before the meal service has been completed; violating company policy. And also because of this minimum staffing; cabins are being left unattended while flight attendants are off taking the carts through the aisles to sell duty free.

Narrative: THE COMPANY HAS INSTALLED 3 DUTY FREE CARTS ON THESE 2 HR FLTS SINCE SEPT THIS YEAR. THIS IS TO 'INCREASE' ACR'S EARNING POTENTIAL TO 5 MILLION FOR THE YEAR AS PER A RECENT CIRCULAR FROM LCL MGMNT. SELLING DUTY FREE ON THESE RELATIVELY SHORT FLTS IS TAKING FLT ATTENDANTS AWAY FROM DILIGENTLY PERFORMING THEIR DUTIES WITH REGARDS TO SECURITY; SAFETY; AS WELL AS SVC PROCS. ON THIS PARTICULAR FLT; (AS OTHERS) FLT ATTENDANTS HAVE BEEN OBSERVED TO START INVENTORY OF THE DUTY FREE CARTS AS SOON AS THEY GET ON THE AIRPLANE AND AS WELL AS DURING PAX BOARDING; VIOLATING SECURITY AND SAFETY PROCS. BECAUSE THESE FLTS ARE STAFFED WITH 9 FLT ATTENDANTS; DUTY FREE SELLERS DROP OFF TO START THEIR SALES EVEN BEFORE THE MEAL SVC HAS BEEN COMPLETED; VIOLATING COMPANY POLICY. AND ALSO BECAUSE OF THIS MINIMUM STAFFING; CABINS ARE BEING LEFT UNATTENDED WHILE FLT ATTENDANTS ARE OFF TAKING THE CARTS THROUGH THE AISLES TO SELL DUTY FREE.
