Narrative:

While on initial climb out on the frogo 6 departure from sacramento airport; and immediately following 'flaps 1' callout and execution; received amended clearance from ATC. We were cleared direct frogo and received a frequency change. As the pilot monitoring I loaded the direct frogo in the FMC and as I finished I noticed a large bird fly by the right side of the aircraft and called it out to the PF. The captain had his attention on the takeoff as well as the WX painting on the radar. We referenced the engine instruments to verify no bird strike occurred on the right engine. It was at that moment the captain realized the flaps were still as position 1. He immediately called for flaps up; but not before we noticed that the airspeed was 235 KTS. The flaps were retracted and no further incidence occurred. We called in for maintenance at our arrival city and an inspection of the flaps revealed no damage. Remainder of flts were uneventful. Better vigilance by both crew members in ensuring checklist items are accomplished in a timely manner.
