Narrative:
I was informed that the flight attendant reported the passenger seats at 9A and 11A were installed incorrectly. 9A should have been in 11A's position. The task was signed off oct/wed/06. On oct/thu/06; six seats were removed and reinstalled to fom. They were reinstalled and signed off oct/thu/06. This happened while we had mechanics helping with our heavy checks on dock 4. I do not recall this event; however; the task is an rii and I always witness the installation of the seats. I check the distance between the seats; distance from front walls; and the torques. When this happened I was the only inspector on shift for a crew of 10-15 hardworking mechanics. Our station is 100% buy-back so we inspect everything. To the best of my knowledge we did it correctly.
