Narrative:

Aircraft was sold. At time of sale; aircraft had a current LOA. New crew had current rvsm training. No change was made to aircraft that would cause the aircraft not to be rvsm compliant. New crew developed new rvsm manual for aircraft changing company name. The captain did not realize the old LOA may have become invalid when aircraft was sold. No one has ever mentioned this condition in training. Everyone talks about equipment failure and what actions that need to be taken. I thought it was just like updating the registration. Submit the name change and continue on.
