Narrative:
The satcom air-to-ground phone number listed on a commercial atlantic orientation chart under the shanwick oceanic frequencys block is 423201. The satcom phone number loaded in ACARS B777's center CDU for shanwick oceanic ('shanwick ATC') is 432201. The second and third digits are reversed from what is published on the commercial chart. 2 test attempts to call shanwick ATC via satcom from B777's on 2 separate flts have been unsuccessful; I believe because the phone number is entered wrong in our satcom preset phone numbers. Since there is no means of entering a satcom number in-flight; this valuable resource is not available to B777 crews in the event of radio failure. To help troubleshoot this problem; the first attempted calls (late november) resulted in messages of 'unassign num;' and these recent tests resulted in messages of 'clear status.'
